Luton Borough Council “Your Say Your Way” Application Succeeds.

We are pleased to announce that the Friends of Bradgers Hill have successfully obtained £1,250 in funding from Luton Borough Council’s “Your Say - Your Way” scheme.

A public presentation event was held on the morning of Saturday 01st October 2016 at Bushmead Community Centre. At the event differing community groups had the opportunity to compete for council funds for cases that mattered to them,. Each gave a presentation setting out information about their respective groups why they needed funds and what they would be used for. The local community then voted on their preferred scheme to receive funding.

Paul Hammond the groups Fundraising Officer, presented on behalf of the Friends of Bradgers Hill. We secured the second highest number of votes and subsequently secured £1,250 for our group.

The funds will be used to purchase tools and tool training to enable preservation work on Bradgers Hill to take place during 2017. It will also help fund educational development resources, meeting room hire, website fees, marketing and cover speakers costs at group events.
