Sunday 19th August. 10.00 a.m. Flitwick Moor.


A late summer visit to Flitwick to carry out either bracken control or reed raking.Be sure to wear your wellies. Meet in the Wildlife Trust Reserve car park, (entrance opposite the orange Massmould factory) in Maulden Road, Flitwick.


Sunday 2nd September. 10.00a.m. Flitwick Moor.


Another visit to continue the raking off of the reeds after their annual cutting in the fen meadow. This helps to maintain the open vegetation of this important reserve.  Wellies will probably come in useful here. Meet in the Wildlife Trust Reserve car park, as above.


Sunday 16th September.10.00a.m. Leagrave  Common,  Luton.


Back to this ancient Luton site for some bramble, scrub & weed clearing from around the chalky knoll and possibly some willow cutting too. Brushcutters welcome! Meet at the Sundon Park Rd entrance in the car park.


Sunday 30th September. 10.00 a.m. Winsdon Hill, Luton.


We finish the summer season with an early start to the autumn regrowth & scrub management on this chalk grassland site.Meet at the entrance in Wellhouse Close, off Longcroft Rd, Luton.


Tea and coffee are provided at all tasks along with tools, gloves and first aid.

New volunteers are always welcome.
